AREA, NOT OUTLINE

How Cutle scoring works

Every valid line produces two filled areas. Cutle compares their shares, doubles the smaller one, and reports the result out of 100.

The goal uses the unrounded area share. The displayed one-decimal score does not move the boundary.

Why a perfect line exists

0%
slide one direction
100%

Move a line of any fixed angle from one side of a filled shape to the other. The area on one side changes continuously from none to all, so it passes through 50% somewhere. Different angles can produce different perfect lines.

Disconnected pieces still belong to one side

Triangle exampleAreas 1.5 and 0.550.0 points
L-shape exampleAreas 2 and 166.7 points

All pieces on the same half-plane are summed. Puzzles use one simple closed polygon without holes or crossing outlines.

Every score has a blade rank

The four beginner bands use fictional trainees. From 85 upward, historical figures appear as themed mentors; their biographies do not determine the game thresholds.

The four beginner characters are fictional. Historical figures appear only as themed mentors in higher bands. The score ladder is playful and does not claim that the real people competed with one another.
