Mouse · trackpad · touchCutle is a shape area puzzle. Your task is to draw one straight line that leaves equal area on each side. You can start on the daily puzzle without an account or an installation.
Drag beyond both sides of the shape, then release. A short line inside the shape will not count.
The result shows both area percentages and a score out of 100. A and B labels remain visible alongside color.
Move or rotate a preview line to understand the difference, then try another actual cut. The preview does not count as a new attempt.
Press, cross the whole shape, and release beyond the other edge.
Mouse · trackpad · touchPlace start and end separately, then choose Cut this line.
Touch · precise placementArrow keys move the selected point; Shift moves farther. Enter cuts and Escape cancels.
No pointer requiredInvalid lines do not increase the attempt count. On concave shapes, disconnected pieces on the same side are added together.
The animation explains the process; the score comes from polygon clipping and area calculation. Reduced-motion settings skip directly to the result.
Ignore empty corners around the outline. Compare only filled regions and identify which side contains the widest mass.
A line through the apparent center can still leave a large lobe on one side. Follow the whole line and compare the mass above and below it.
Long thin extensions influence the outline more than the area. A shorter, wider section can outweigh them.
If A is 54% and B is 46%, move the next line into A. Keep the angle at first so you can see the effect of one controlled change.
